Tenute Baldo: a new expression of Umbria

In the heart of Umbria, among the rolling hills of Torgiano and Montefalco, lies the story of Tenute Baldo. The estate extends across approximately 60 hectares of vineyards and has built its identity around a deep connection between people, land and wine.

For Tenute Baldo, wine is first and foremost the result of an ongoing dialogue with the land. This philosophy places vineyard work, experience and a strong commitment to sustainable practices at its core, with the aim of preserving and enhancing the region’s rich viticultural heritage.

Between Torgiano and Montefalco: the identity of Umbria

Tenute Baldo’s vineyards span two of the most distinctive areas of Umbrian wine production: Torgiano and Montefalco.

In Torgiano, the winery interprets one of Umbria’s historic appellations through wines that showcase varieties such as Sangiovese, Cabernet and Merlot. In Montefalco, the undisputed protagonist is Sagrantino, one of the region’s most distinctive and recognisable native grapes.

Among the winery’s most representative wines is Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG, a wine of remarkable structure and personality, characterised by intense aromas of black fruit, spices, liquorice and balsamic herbs, supported by dense, velvety tannins.

The portfolio also includes Torgiano Rosso Riserva DOCG, alongside a selection of wines that explore the different expressions of the Umbrian landscape.

A new partnership, a new international perspective

The arrival of Tenute Baldo in the Edoardo Freddi International portfolio reflects a shared ambition to further enhance the winery’s identity and presence on international markets.

The partnership aims to support Tenute Baldo’s international development, leveraging EFI’s experience and global network to introduce the winery to new markets, new partners and new audiences.

It is a meeting of two complementary visions: on one side, a winery deeply rooted in its territory; on the other, an international company specialised in developing and promoting Italian wine brands across the world.
